Michal Rapoport

Michal Rapoport is a Visiting Graduate Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics and a PhD candidate in Philosophy at Tel Aviv University. Her dissertation addresses reconceptualizations of corporeality, surveillance, labor, and dwelling as these are shaped in automated "smart homes." It represents part of her larger interest in the intersections between critical theory and the world of matter, with special emphasis on interactions between the human and emerging intelligent technologies. She holds an MA in Architecture from Virginia Tech and a BA in English Literature, History, and Philosophy from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 2013-14 she was a Doctoral Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Tel Aviv University.
