2026 Ethics Bowl team in St. Louis at the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Nationals
Ethics Society Mission:
Our goal is to encourage collaborative and accessible discourse on pressing ethical issues and to supply students and the wider public with an ethical toolkit that they can productively apply to their daily lives.
What does Ethics Society do?
- Weekly Meetings
- We hold weekly meetings where competing teams prepare their cases, developing stances based on the cases provided in the National Ethics Bowl Case Packet.
- Scrimmages
- Engage in practice scrimmages against other universities, debating ethical issues in preparation for Ethics Bowl competitions.
- Ethics Bowl Competitions
- Compete in Ethics Bowl competitions at regional and national levels, debating various ethical dilemmas with other teams.
- Coffee Chat Series with Harvard Professors
- We invite Harvard professors to engage in small-group discussions about their research and work at local cafes.
- Club Collaborations
- Partner with other organizations on campus to host joint events and discussions on issues of mutual interest.
- Public Discussions
- Host public discussions for the Harvard community about relevant topics, fostering open dialogue on ethical issues.
- Socials
- Throughout the semester, we host social events for our members.
How to Join:
Ethics Society offers a completion-based curriculum for membership in the Fall. Weekly meetings throughout the semester introduce foundational ethical concepts and frameworks, equipping members with the argumentative and philosophical tools necessary for success in Ethics Bowl. No prior experience is required!
