Adrianne Billingham Bock is the Director of Curriculum for the Democratic Knowledge Project. In this role, Adrianne leads the curriculum design and redesign work in social studies, history and civics across grades K-12. Prior to joining the DKP, Adrianne was the preK-12th grade Social Studies Program Coordinator in the Andover Public Schools, in Andover, Massachusetts. In this position, she supported and led district-wide social studies curriculum, curricular initiatives and professional learning, and co-led the district’s Cultural Climate Committee, an anti-racism initiative. Prior to working in Andover, Adrianne was a senior program associate at Facing History and Ourselves, supporting teachers in their use of Facing History’s curriculum and pedagogical approach. She began her career as a high school history and social studies teacher. Adrianne received her bachelor’s in history from Boston College, and her master’s degree in Irish Studies from the Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
