Silz Carson received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1997. She spent her fellowship year using experimental and behavioral economics to better understand the mechanisms within an economy of influence that contribute to institutional corruption, as well as studying alternative mechanism designs that could mitigate institutional corruption.
