In this workshop, learn how to draw from your life experiences to develop compelling and authentic stories for various uses, including interviews, drafting reports, sharing research findings, engaging audiences, and securing funding. Leverage accessible stories to make your professional communications relatable and impactful.  Whether you love storytelling or are simply curious to discover a few secrets behind telling an engaging one, this session is designed for everyone. About the speaker:

Michael Rain leverages storytelling and technology to expand the world’s perception of diverse communities. He is in residence at Harvard, jointly at the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics and the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research. 

 

He has delivered keynotes and remarks at tech, business, government, and educational institutions, including the U.S. Department of State, Google, SAP, Santander, and Morgan Stanley. Michael began his career in strategic communications consulting FORTUNE 500 companies, high-profile individuals, and influential organizations on reputation management, litigation support, storytelling, and crisis communications. NASDAQ, NBC News, and Thrive Global have featured his entrepreneurial and creative work. Michael has been awarded several esteemed fellowships and residences, including selections as a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University, a Tech Policy Fellow at the Aspen Institute, and the TED Residency, where he gave a TED Talk that has over 1.3 million views and has been translated into 28 languages.
