Join the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics, Harvard Hillel and Ematai for a timely discussion titled Morality and War with Rabbi Brody and Michael Walzer.

Dr Michael Walzer is professor emeritus at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and one of America’s foremost political thinkers. He is the author of over 25 books including Just and Unjust Wars; War, Politics, and Morality; and Arguing About War. Currently, he is working on issues having to do with international justice and the connection of religion and politics, and on a collaborative project focused on the history of Jewish political thought.

Rabbi Dr Shlomo Brody '01 is executive director of Ematai and a columnist for the Jerusalem Post. His first book, A Guide to the Complex: Contemporary Halakhic Debates, received a National Jewish Book Award, and his next book, Ethics of Our Fathers: A Jewish View of War & Morality, will be released soon. He received his rabbinic ordination from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate and his PhD from Bar Ilan University Law School.
