Project Manager, Academic Independence Project
Szelena Gray

2014 - 2015

Szelena Gray loves the challenge of operationalizing nonprofit start-up ideas, and is thrilled to be back at the Center for Ethics in 2014 to help launch the academic independence project. She comes to the Center from the democracy reform movement, where she helped lead the development of organizations including Rootstrikers, Demand Progress, New Hampshire Rebellion, and, most recently, the Mayday PAC. Szelena received her MTS from Harvard Divinity School in 2009 and completed her BA in religious and women's studies at the University of Florida. Her interests are in the politics of subject formation and overcoming barriers to democratic participation. Szelena enjoys reconciling her existential phenomenological politics with her desire for a data-driven life, and believes that content management systems are integral to this practice.

Szelena was executive assistant to Lawrence Lessig from June 2010 - July 2012.
