Rose completed her PhD in Health Policy in 2010 at Harvard University, and prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, she held a pre- and post-doctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIMH and NCI). She received a MS in Social Work at Columbia University and a MS in Bioethics at Union College/Albany Medical Center. Before enrolling in her doctoral program, she served as a clinical oncology social worker and researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.

Her fellowship project focused on investigating the potential financial conflicts of interests (COI) among patient advocacy groups, and analyzed national disclosure data related to COI among physicians and academic medical centers. Additionally, she was a co-investigator on another research project testing different COI disclosure mechanisms.
