Samuel Dishaw is a PhD candidate in philosophy with research interests in ethics and epistemology. His dissertation project is on the epistemology of understanding, and on what is distinctively valuable about understanding in the moral domain. At Harvard, he has led sections in political philosophy, aesthetics and the philosophy of religion, and lectured on the ethics of emerging technologies as part of the Embedded EthiCS initiative.
