Max Hayward is a Lecturer at the University of Sheffield. Before that, he studied for a BA and MPhil at the University of Cambridge, and completed a PhD at Columbia University. He works on Metaethics, Normative Ethics, Moral Psychology and the Philosophy of Mind. His writing has appeared in academic journals such as Mind, Noûs, Analysis and Philosophical Studies, as well as venues such as The New Statesman and the Times Literary Supplement. In New York he co-founded Rethink, a philosophical outreach program working with court-involved youth and survivors of domestic violence, and was a Public Humanities Fellow with The New York Council for the Humanities. He is the Editor of Analysis Reviews and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Moral Philosophy.
