Matthew Mandel

Matthew Mandel

Matthew Mandel is a senior concentrating in Philosophy with a secondary in Computer Science. His philosophical interests include animal ethics, logic, and the relationship between ethics and agency. When not arguing about philosophy in class, he can be found arguing about philosophy at the John Adams Society or in the Kirkland dining hall. Matthew is also a fellow of the Cellular Agriculture Society, through which he works to help end factory farming.

Through support from the Lester Kissel Grant, Matthew will explore the question of how we ought to treat other agents, particularly when they fail to live up to the ideals of agency.
