Mathias Risse is Berthold Beitz Professor in Human Rights, Global Affairs and Philosophy and Director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. Alex Tuckness received his A.B. from the University of Chicago in political science, his M.Phil. from Cambridge University, and his Ph.D. from Princeton University. During his fellowship year at the Center, he worked on a book Principles of International Justice: A Legislative Approach, that develops a reciprocity based ethical framework for the fallible and often self-interested agents who make decisions in international politics.
