Erica came to the Center in January 2006 as Faculty and Research Assistant to Arthur Applbaum. She received her undergraduate degree in History and International Relations from Boston University in May 2005, where she focused on 20th century Chinese history and security studies. In her free time, Erica enjoys jewelry-making, knitting, studying world cultures and the role of religion in global politics, and volunteering with the International Rescue Committee. Her future goals include mastering the Chinese language, traveling abroad, and learning to keep her plants alive.
