Hwong received a BS in Neuroscience from Brown University and an MA in Family and Sexuality Studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. During the fellowship year, she explored how patients evaluate and respond to physician disclosure of industry payments and how disclosure affects perceptions of the medical profession.
