The Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics has supported the scholarship and practice of four Fellows in the 2018-2019 academic year through the Ethics Pedagogy Initiative. These Ethics Pedagogy Fellows (EPFs) have spent their year broadly supporting the teaching and learning of ethics across the University. Fellows have brought their research and teaching expertise to bear through consulting with Faculty who are creating new courses, conducting research on the practices of dilemmas of teaching, and now through sharing their learnings and interventions with the greater Harvard community in the Ethics Pedagogy Showcase.

The Showcase will take place over three separate sessions on April 23, April 25 and April 29. In the opening session on April 23rd, Dr. Chris Robichaud, Director of Pedagogical Innovation, will kick-off the series of workshops by introducing the Initiative, and then leading a new simulation on corruption to expose participants to learning ethics through active experiences. After a debrief of the simulation over lunch, EPF Brian Palmiter will lead a workshop on approaches to successfully "Arguing Ethics in the Classroom".

The session on April 25 will contain two workshops lead by EPFs. First, Ashley Lee will hold a workshop on "A Process Oriented Approach to Teaching Ethics in (Technology) Design". Following a short lunch, Andrew Westover will lead a workshop on "Teaching and Difficult Moments".

Finally, the session on April 29 will feature Ronni Gura Sadovsky as she leads a workshop on "Embedding Ethics" across various curricula. The series will conclude with a showcase of findings from the Center's study on the Emergent Trends in the Teaching and Learning of Ethics at Harvard (ETTLE), a multi-year study which surveyed Harvard faculty and students on their experiences with ethics coursework.

These events are free and open to the public, but registration is requested
