We invite you to a special screening of the one-hour documentary film “All the Queen’s Horses” on Friday December 1, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics.
“All the Queen’s Horses” tells the story of Rita Crundwell, who stole more than $53 million in public funds during her time in office as City Comptroller and Treasurer for Dixon, Illinois, a town of only 16,000 people. In 2012, after a close colleague uncovered her theft and alerted the Mayor, the FBI arrested Crundwell as the largest municipal fraud perpetrator in American history.
We are thrilled to have the film’s Director and Producer, Professor Kelly Richmond Pope of DePaul University, and Professor Eugene Soltes, the Jakurski Family Associate Professor of Business Administration at HBS, join us for a Q+A after the screening. Pope has taken the novel approach of presenting her research in documentary form as a powerful medium for understanding fraud and the structural barriers to ethical decision-making within organizational cultures.
