Gup is the author of three nonfiction books - The Book of Honor (Doubleday), Nation of Secrets (Doubleday), and A Secret Gift (Penguin). Gup holds a B.A. from Brandeis University in classics and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University. During his fellowship year, he examined the degree to which partisanship has undermined oversight functions in the federal government.
