Marta Jimenez received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2011. During the fellowship year, Jimenez worked on her project, provisionally entitled "Aristotle on Justice as a Personal Virtue: Self-Love, Friendship, and Equality," which explores the connections of justice with righteous indignation, friendship, and self-love and aims to find a viable way of understanding the controversial Aristotelian notion of justice as a personal virtue.
