Jonah Lefkoe

Jonah Lefkoe is a proud Vermonter and senior joint-concentrating in History and East Asian Studies. His senior thesis explored U.S. investment policy in China in the early 20th century and its effect on Chinese militarism and international competition in the Pacific. Jonah studied Mandarin Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University and has worked for the Ohio Democratic Party, the Urban Institute Center on International Development and Governance, and Senator Bernie Sanders. Outside of the classroom, Jonah serves as a peer mental health counselor, performs and directs with Hyperion Shakespeare Company, leads the Harvard College Wine Society, and dabbles in beekeeping. After graduation, Jonah will pursue a master's degree at Peking University as a Yenching Scholar.
