Adriana  Alfaro Altamirano

Adriana Alfaro Altamirano is a PhD candidate in Government. Her research interests include moral psychology, political anthropology, phenomenology, and philosophy of law, with a special focus on continental political thought. Her dissertation looks at the contributions of French and German phenomenology and Lebensphilosophie of the late 19th and early 20th centuries to theories of individuality and agency within the tradition of political thought. At Harvard, she is also working toward a secondary field in German Studies, and she has a BA in Political Science from ITAM, in Mexico City. Before starting her graduate studies, she worked at the Mexican Supreme Court doing research on topics of contemporary political theory and legal studies.
