Carla Miller Helps Pass the First City Anti-Corruption Act in U.S. History

On November 4th, a referendum on campaign finance and ethics—written in large part by Edmond J. Safra Network Fellow Carla Miller—passed in Tallahassee by a wide margin, creating the first city Anti-Corruption Act in U.S. history. Congratulations to Carla and to the people of Tallahassee!

Pursued by a bipartisan group of individuals and organizations, 67 percent of voters supported the referendum to amend the City Charter, which will limit contributions to candidates, create tax rebates for campaign contributions, and establish an ethics board. Read more.
